Charlie Gracie is one of the few, world famous pioneers of rock & roll who continues to actively record and perform. A talented front-man and guitarist during the 1950’s “Rock Era,” Charlie is recognized as an innovator of rock & roll, and a hero to the rockabilly genre.

In 1957, Charlie's hit song "Butterfly" topped the American and British music charts, selling over 3 million copies. At the height of his fame, He frequently appeared on "Dick Clark's American Bandstand", "The Ed Sullivan Show", and "Alan Freed's TV Specials". Charlie headlined shows at notable venues including the Brooklyn Paramount, the Casino Royale in Washington, and the 500 Club in Atlantic City. Charlie has also been called a major influence by Paul McCartney, Van Morrison, Graham Nash, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and many other world renowned rockers and guitarists.

Charlie became the first successful recording star to come out of Philadelphia during the Rock Era, giving South Philly an internationally recognized name. After almost six decades of creating, performing, a influencing rock music, Charlie still pays tribute to his rockabilly roots and his beloved home city on his most recent album, “For The Love Of Charlie.”
