Bio

John Lilley’s first solo release offers an honest and reflective look into the adventurous life of a seasoned guitarist, touring musician, and recording artist. John has been a member of Philly’s roots-rock legacy-band The Hooters since 1983, contributing to Billboard top-40 hits including “Day By Day,” “As We Danced,” and many more. He has toured aggressively with Rolling Stone’s “Best New Band of 1985,” covering several continents on international tours, and performing at historic events like Philly’s Live Aid concert in 1985 and Rodger Waters’ The Wall Concert in Berlin in 1991.

John’s upbeat, uplifting country album “Lucky Kind of Guy,” is highly influenced by his experience as a member of The Hooters, telling stories about the ups and downs of life on the road, admitting his mistakes, but ultimately feeling lucky to have had such a fulfilling lifetime of playing music. In addition to promoting his solo project, John still tours with The Hooters, teaches guitar lessons, and continues to pursue every opportunity that arises in his musical adventure.
