Bio

Before Ike took the Philadelphia rock scene by storm in 2002, prolific Philly rocker John Faye and his musical collaborator Cliff Hillis had a short, yet successful stint performing under the band name John Faye Power Trip. A bridge-band between left-field power-pop group The Caulfields and the emotionally-driven pop-rock outfit Ike, John Faye Power Trip is a perfect summation of late 90’s alternative music, and a signature example of the recognizable John Faye sound. His personal, complex, and involved songwriting is framed by the perfect blend of gritty rock and gleaming pop hooks, providing a truly bewitching listening experience. Although John Faye Power Trip was short lived, John and Cliff’s music inspired great successes for the Philly rocking duo.
